The new regulation, still in force, on the smoking ban on the premises of the University of Messina was approved in December 2021. In order to raise the level of health protection of staff, students and all people who frequent the University spaces from the serious damage deriving from exposure to tobacco smoke and the vapors produced, the use of cigarettes is also regulated electronic. The provisions of the regulation apply to university buildings used for any reason and are extended to spaces for the exclusive use of university facilities hosted by other institutions. The recipients of the decree are teaching staff, technical-administrative and library staff, students, the public in general, as well as all those who frequent university buildings and spaces in any capacity.
