The University of Messina informs international students that, following a recent decision by the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate), it is no longer possible to obtain the Codice Fiscale directly from their offices. The responsibility for issuing this document has now been delegated to other competent authorities.
Aware of the challenges this change may cause, the University has initiated discussions with the relevant institutions, including the Agenzia delle Entrate and the Immigration Office of the Questura, to identify concrete and timely solutions that will facilitate the issuance of the Codice Fiscale for international students.
In the meantime, students can proceed with enrolment even without a Codice Fiscale, by using the printout from the Universitaly portal as a temporary document.
This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to supporting students during such a crucial phase of their academic and personal journey.
