Outgoing Mobility

The internationalisation strategy of the University of Messina (UniME) is aimed to improve its performance across teaching, research, knowledge transfer, international outlook and reputation.

The implementation of mobility programmes will be one the main pillars to achieve these goals (see the menu on the right-hand side). International mobility also takes on a wider value as an instrument of openness, dialogue and civil coexistence. Therefore, UniME promotes and increases the circulation and exchanges of teachers and students, prepares and implements integrated study programmes and any other initiative suitable for the enhancement of teaching and research activities, compatibly with the human, financial and instrumental resources available" (art.1 par. 4 of the Statute).

The participation in the Erasmus programme is traditionally one of the main pillars of the UNIME strategy for modernisation and internationalisation. Promotion of students and staff mobility as well as the participation in European and International cooperation projects are considered of paramount importance to foster the quality of academic offer and to help individuals to increase their professional, social and intercultural skills and employability.
