
The University of Messina is once again at the forefront of promoting health and well-being. In the prestigious THE Impact Ranking 2025, UniME ranks 2nd in Italy after Padua University and 72nd in the world for its work on SDG 3 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, out of 1,788 universities evaluated. Last year, 1,488 universities were evaluated, and UniME ranked 1st. This recognition rewards UniME efforts in the field of sustainability. A series of policies have been implemented for this SDG, such as guaranteeing free sports activities for students, organising cultural events, and running training projects in public health. The university also collaborates with health institutions and provides psychological support for young people.
THE Impact Ranking 2025 ranks universities around the world according to their impact on sustainability. The aim is to promote people's health and well-being through an agenda defined as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
