The Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) jointly announce that pre-enrollment at the university does not, in any way, guarantee an appointment with the diplomatic-consular representations to submit visa applications. Please also note that, as already stated in the ministerial circular entitled "Procedures for the entry, residence, enrollment of international students and the related recognition of qualifications for higher education courses in Italy valid for the 2025-2026 academic year" on page 7, prior acceptance of a candidate by the university does not confer any right to obtain a visa, given that issuing study visas is the exclusive responsibility of the individual diplomatic-consular representations.
