UNICORE 8.0: Call for Applications for 2 Scholarships for Refugee Students

The call for applications for the eighth edition of the UNICORE – University Corridors for Refugees project has been published. Promoted by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), UNICORE 8.0 aims to support the right to higher education for refugee students by creating educational corridors from Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe to Italy. 

The University of Messina, which promotes the inclusion of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers through the initiatives of the Interdepartmental Centre CEMI (Centre for Migration, Social Integration and Intercultural Communication), has established two scholarships for refugee students admitted to English-taught Master’s Degree Programmes for the academic years 2026–2028. All benefits and participation requirements are available in the attached call.

The application deadline is 17 April. Applicants may submit their application by following the procedure available at: universitycorridors.unhcr.it
