
On Thursday, 9 October 2025, starting at 4:30 p.m. and continuing into the evening, the University of Messina will host its Welcome Day in the Rectorate Courtyard in Piazza Pugliatti (Central Campus). This festive event is designed to warmly welcome new students, encourage social interaction, and introduce the wide range of services offered by the University.
This day of celebration is designed to welcome new students, encourage socialisation, and raise awareness of the services offered by the University. The event will feature the Welcome Party, organised with the support of student associations.
The event will open with a welcome address from the Rector, Prof. Giovanna Spatari. New students will receive the Welcome Gadget 2025 and will be able to visit information stands dedicated to the various opportunities offered by the university, including canteen and accommodation services, transport, language certifications, international mobility programmes, sports activities, paid collaborations, discounts on university fees, and digital services such as Wi-Fi, the Unime app, Student Chat, and Microsoft packages. Information will also be available on libraries, study and career guidance, study support groups, TOLC testing and services dedicated to psychological fragility, disabilities or specific learning disorders.
Those who have already applied for it will also be able to pick up the Student Mobility Card at the dedicated station.
The day will end with a Welcome Party hosted by the university radio station, UniversoMe, with DJs and bands performing.
