THE 'World University Rankings by Subject' 2026, UniME among the top 400 for Economics and Business and Medicine and Health

The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2026 have been published. The University of Messina is among the top 400 universities in the world for Business and Economics (#7 in Italy) and Medical and Health Sciences, and among the top 500 for Life Sciences disciplines.

UniME also ranks among the top 600 universities worldwide for Engineering, Psychology, Social Sciences, and Computer Science.

Times Higher Education's subject rankings are based on parameters related to the scientific output of teaching staff, teaching quality, business relations and internationalisation. The 2026 edition ranks the top 2,191 universities globally, out of an estimated 20,000 worldwide (UNESCO).
