The Italian Ministry of University and Research has launched the Italian Erasmus Programme for the 2026/2027 Academic Year, establishing a dedicated fund to support student mobility within Italy through scholarships for study periods at participating Italian universities.
The initiative aims to promote innovative academic pathways, encouraging interdisciplinarity and greater flexibility in higher education while strengthening cooperation, integration and complementarity among Italian universities.
Students enrolled in Bachelor's, Master's and Single-Cycle Master's degree programmes at the University of Messina are eligible to undertake a period of study at partner Italian universities that have signed agreements with UniMe, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the University's annual call for applications.
Through the Italian Erasmus mobility scheme,
- students can attend courses and sit examinations at the host university, undertake curricular traineeships and internship activities, carry out research work related to their dissertation or thesis, participate in these activities without paying additional tuition fees at the host institution.
- full academic recognition of the study period completed at the host university is guaranteed, based on the learning activities agreed in advance between the student's degree programme and the host institution.
The application deadline is 15 July 2026.
