The Sports Citadel of the University of Messina is a modern facility surrounded by greenery, designed to promote wellness and physical activity among the academic and local communities. Covering an area of 135,000 m², it offers a wide range of sports and services, including a 150-bed guesthouse, a sports medicine center, a 2,500-seat open-air amphitheater, conference rooms, equipped green areas, and parking. Facilities include swimming pools, football and tennis fields, and a multifunctional gym. The University, in collaboration with CUSI, will ensure free access for students and enhance transportation from various university campuses. Inclusive initiatives for students with disabilities will be promoted, and dual careers for student-athletes will be supported, enabling them to balance academic and competitive sports commitments.
