On the occasion of World "Mental Health" Day, celebrated on 10 October 2022, the AOU "G. Martino" of Messina joined the Open day on mental health, promoted by the "Onda" foundation (National Observatory on women's and gender health). During the day, free psychiatric and psychological visits, consultations and interviews were carried out, after booking by telephone or email at psichiatria@unime.it.
The initiative aims to raise awareness among the population of the importance of early diagnosis and promote access to treatment, helping to overcome prejudices, stigma and fears linked to mental illnesses.
The “Onda” foundation (https://fondazioneonda.it/it/) awards the “Pink Stickers” recognition to hospitals that provide services dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the main female pathologies.
