The University of Messina has always paid particular attention to gender issues, thanks in part to bodies such as the CUG (Single Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunities), whose aim is to enhance the well-being of workers and combat discrimination by promoting equal opportunities for all members of the university community. The S.A.F.E. U project, launched on October 23, 2024, promotes sexual health and psychological well-being within the university community through educational and outreach activities, adopting an innovative, inclusive, and multidisciplinary approach, both within and beyond the university.
