The University of Messina has been committed for several years to a smoke-free office policy and to regulating tobacco use within its facilities. As established by the regulations approved in 2021, smoking or the use of other tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) is prohibited in any area of the University buildings. Furthermore, the University organizes annual webinars to address the issue of smoking and its harmful health consequences.
