From 7 to 9 October 2022, the university sports citadel hosted an event dedicated to student involvement and healthy sporting competition; this is the first edition of "UniMeGames", an interdepartmental sports event, organized by the University of Messina in collaboration and on the proposal of the "Crescendo" Idea Incubator. The sports disciplines practiced were: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Mixed Doubles Tennis and Swimming 4x50 Relay. The teams made up of students from the various Departments competed against each other, including new students enrolled at the University, and all sports were played by mixed teams. On the last evening of the event, after the closing ceremony with the awarding of the winning departmental representative of the UniMeGames, a party with DJ was organized until midnight.
