Call SAW: Outgoing students on cooperation agreements

The "STUDENTS AROUND THE WORLD" (SAW) programme provides for the allocation of financial support for mobility grants for study at non-European universities within the framework of international cooperation agreements.

Students who are regularly enrolled at the University of Messina will be able to spend a period between a minimum of 3 months and up to a maximum of 12 months at one of the partner universities (and the mandatory minimum acquisition of 12 ETCS per semester). During the mobility, students will be able to attend the courses/internships of the host universities, take the relevant exams and/or carry out research activity aimed at preparing the degree thesis.

Students enrolled in the 5th or 6th year of the single-cycle degree course in "Medicina e Chirurgia" and "Medicine and Surgery" will be able to carry out the Practical Evaluation Internship (TPV) respectively, in "Medicine" and/or "Surgery", subject to verification with the host university, for a minimum duration of 1 month each (and the mandatory minimum acquisition of 5 ETCS for each internship).

Beneficiaries will be granted a contribution towards the costs of food, lodging and travel. The scholarship can reach a total monthly amount between a minimum of 500 euros and a maximum of 950 euros (based on the ISEE presented). Each beneficiary will also be provided with a one-off extra contribution (round-trip) for travel expenses.

The scholarship is intended as a contribution to the mobility costs incurred in the host country.

The study/internship activity for the mobility period will be agreed with the UniME Department of reference and with the foreign university through the Learning Agreement for Studies/Traineeship.

PhD students are not eligible to participate in the call.
