The Erasmus + Staff Mobility for Teaching programme allows professors to spend a period of teaching at a partner Higher Education Institute in one of the countries participating in the Erasmus Programme. The aim is:
- to offer to the professors the opportunity for updating course and professional growth;
- to stimulate universities to expand and enrich the range and content of their courses;
- to consolidate the cooperation with institutions from different countries;
- to promote the exchange of skills and experiences on teaching methodologies.
The following teaching categories are allowed:
- full and extraordinary professors;
- associate professors;
- researchers.
Grants are awarded exclusively for a teaching period (MINIMUM 8 TEACHING HOURS a week) abroad as part of a mobility programme agreed between the University of Messina and the partner Institution that has signed an Interinstitutional Agreement with UNIME and that is a holder of ECHE. Starting from the Call a.a. 2018/2019 is given the possibility of carrying out a combined mobility for Teaching and Training (in which the teaching activity must be a minimum of 4 hours) to develop and increase the research or the acquisition of ipedagogical skills. UNIME, supplementing with its own budget the funds allocated by the National Agency Erasmus+/Indire, strongly encourages the participation of teaching staff and proceeds to the annual publication of Calls for Proposals.
Before the departure time:
It is mandatory to subscribe and submit the Agreement Institute/Beneficiary (c.d. "Financial Agreement") to the Erasmus Mobility Unit, duly completed and signed, at least 10 days before the departure and the working plan agreed with the host University.
During the stay
Before the end of the mobility, the beneficiary must provide to the host partner institution the certification concerning the duration and the subject matter of the Staff mobility for Teaching , that must be signed.
Upon return to Messina
The beneficiary must send all the original documents of expenses to Erasmus Mobility Office, as well as the originals of the boarding passes within 15 days after the return, in order to obtain the reimbursement of expenses. Please note that without the original receipts it will not be possible to obtain the Erasmus+ mobility grant.
It is also mandatory to filled in the Narrative Report (EU Survey) online.
